Description
Salsa verde is a green sauce made from herbs, capers, garlic, and olive oil. Great as a dip or with pasta, this version uses mustard leaves (any variety will do). It does not disppappoint.
Ingredients
- 1 bunch mustard greens
- 1 bunch corriander
- 1 bunch spring onions or 1 red onion
- 3 tablespoon capers
- 1 lemon juice and zest
- 1 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic
- ½ teaspoon crushed chilli-flakes
- salt to taste
Instructions
Chop up the mustard greens and corriander leaves. Mix with remaining ingredients in a medium bowl and serve.
Notes
Other herbs and greens to try include parsley, mint, tarragon, oregano, arugula, and dandelion. Serve with avocado, potatoes, fish, chicken, and meat.
