Leek and Gruyere Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust 9 inch, refrigerated
  • 2 teaspoon butter
  • 3 leeks, chopped
  • pinch of salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1.25 cup gruyere cheese, grated

Instructions

Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Melt the butter over medium-low heat. Add leeks and cook until soft (approx 10 minutes). Stir occasionally. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat and stir in cream and cheese and warm thoroughly. Pour into pie shell. Bake for 30 minutes, until set and golden. Rest for 10 minutes before cutting
