- 0.5 teaspoon Chinese five spice
- 0.5 teaspoon sugar
- 0.25 teaspoon salt
- 300g kale, washed and thoroughly dried
- 100 ml rapeseed oil for frying
- Finely slice the kale leaves
- Heat the oil on a high heat in a wok, add 1/4 of the kale and deep-fry until crispy (approx 2 min), remove with slotted spoon and place on kitchen paper. Repeat until all the kale has been fried.
- Discard excess oil and return kale to wok, sprinkle with Chinese Five Spice, sugar and salt. Toss well and serve.
