Description

A quick preperation for green beans with maximum flavour. Pairs great with grilled steak.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp salted butter
  • 500 g green beans, trimmed
  • toasted sesame seeds to garnish
  • spring onions to garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the green beans and toss to coat. Cook, undisturbed, until the green beans are beginning to brown and blister in spots, 2 to 3 minutes. Toss and continue cooking, tossing occasionally, until the green beans are tender and browned, 5 to 7 more minutes.
  2. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and spring onion greens

Notes

This is an easy recipe to make on the bbq, but can be made on the stove top too.
