Chinese Broccoli Salad Recipe

This is perfect as a side dish with some roast chicken, or a a stand alone quick lunch bite.


  • 2 heads of broccoli
  • 0.5 cup toasted sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup dark raisins
  • 1 teaspoon green curry paste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Oriental sweet cooking rice wine to taste
  • soy sauce to taste
  • Several lemon slices


Cook the broccoli florets in salted water with a few slices of lemon until crisp but tender.

Drain and rinse. Place the florets (broken up) into a bowl and add the sunflower seeds and raisins.

To taste, add the sweet cooking rice wine, the sesame seed oil and the soy sauce.

Add the sugar and the curry powder to your liking.

Can be served warm or well chilled.
